Bill Gates, the founder of Microsoft and the world’s second richest person trash talked Bitcoin in an interview with CNBC. This is not the first time Bill Gates was against Bitcoin. In a previous interview, he said Cryptocurrencies are being used to buy drugs and directly cause deaths. But he overlooks the fact that most of the drugs for the longest times have been moved using fiat currencies.

In the CNBC interview, Gates said “As an asset class, you’re not producing anything and so you shouldn’t expect it to go up. It’s kind of a pure ‘greater fool theory’ type of investment. I would short it if there was an easy way to do it.”

Bitcoin has been resistant to volatility as Wall Street has been doubling down on its verbal assault. Just last week, Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger expressed their hatred towards cryptocurrencies. Buffet called Bitcoin as “rat poison squared” and Munger said Trading Cryptocurrency is like trading turds.
