So about a week ago as I was up late at night browsing through youtube videos and I came across something I found extremely interesting... and not like every other video on youtube at 2am.

I found a new channel called "Anonymous CryptoCallOuts" with only one video titled "A Message To CryptoTubers". Being that I am someone who posts videos on youtube about crypto-currencies my attention was gotten and I chose to watch.

justice-is-coming.png

The video began like every other anonymous video with the "anticipation setting" style opening music opening up for every anonymous video. It was short and to the point at only 1:21 seconds.

They stated that they refuse to sit by any longer while these people host channels with videos promoting referral links to sites with "questionable investment techniques or coins with little to no value or use".

The companies that they said are "on their radar" were:

-Genesis Mining
-BitConnect
-Control Finance
-PieCoin or PotCoin ? (couldn't tell what he said)
-EmberCoin

  • ... as well as others...

The anonymous hacker said that they will systematically erase them from youtube and the cryptocurrency world. They will no longer allow them to take advantage of the people that "look up to and respect" them and to be expecting them.

I laugh, obviously subscribe, but think it is pretty crazy that this video got made. The channel didn't seem like a legitimate anon channel, and it only had like 5 subscribers. Normally when a video like that gets made it is followed up by something actually happening, so I figured we'd wait and see if this guy was actually an "anonymous" hacker, or just some kind of parody channel.

A few days later I see another video from the channel pop up titled "A Message To Kenn Bosak". I think to myself... "Oh shit... what could he have been into? I actually liked watching him... but in the latest few videos posted I were more drama than usual. He made an offer to Craig Grant (King BitConnect) to take down his Bitconnect bashing videos for 2 BTC, or takedown his videos and make one promoting BitConnect for 3 BTC because of a comment Craig had left on one of Ken's videos.

Craig said deal, but no deal ever happened. Craig Grant said he didn't have that kind of money, but his higher ups may want to do it so he would talk to them. His higher ups said no, so Craig still sent Ken 1 BTC in hopes that he would take down his videos bashing BitConnect. Instead Ken said thanks for the "Tip" but you didn't fulfill the deal so the videos will stay. He then said he played it as a game of chess and wanted to put his word against Craig's to prove Craig was a scammer and wouldn't stick to the deal... who knows, who cares... at least I thought. Someone or some people cared becasue this video was to Ken Bosak and about this whole situation.

They claim that he had been spiraling down a dark path and becoming more self destructive. They said that he use to have character, charisma, and was a face that could be trusted. Although for him offering to give up his integrity he needed to be "helped". They say he needs to await a message from them and something would be done that was admirable with the Bitcoin he received from Craig Grant to redeem himself.

Another few days go by and I get curious if Ken Bosak was going to respond to these "Hackers" or just let it be. I navigate to his channel only to find that he had no channel. All of his videos had been deleted... the channel completely wiped. I had a gut feeling it was from the person who made the video.

I then see another video from a different channel about two other content creators who's channels had been hacked. Both of these users completely fit the profile. Crypto Mark & CryptoGirl. Literally the same person but opposite sex. Both of their channels were filled with control finance and BitConnect videos. Every video was them reinvesting money or talking about earnings from the sites. I have no idea why anyone would even subscribe to them... complete spam and it would be like watching channels full of ads... nothing but ads about shitty ponzi sites. It was pretty bad.

So I go to each of their channels... same thing. Videos removed, subscribers deleted, all sorts of weird stuff going on with the placement of numbers from the script being altered it seemed.

I had originally began writing about this yesterday early morning, I got busy, and when I came to conclude it I saw that another video had been posted by the channel, this time titled "Ken Bosak - A Response". I was obviously interested, so watched. This video is a little different. The man in the video is laying on a bed and seems to be making the recording on their phone. The video states that It was not Craig Grant who hacked Ken, but the guy in the video. He said Crypto Therapy channel was being watched, Trevon James, and Craig Grant. He took ownership for the other you tubers that had been hacked and also said that they would not stop until youtube was cleansed of all of its filth on the crypto side.

The rumor is that they got hacked by a phishing technique via email. Supposedly the hackers sent them emails that claimed to be from whichever platform they were promoting asking them to change their password for security purposes... if this is true it is very sad.

This almost happened to me years ago from a PayPal email. It then almost happened again to me a year or two later when my wife had lost her iPhone. Some times the phishing emails or texts can be very well done, but after a good examination you can spot discrepancies that are red flags. Like for PayPal they used my email to address me rather than my full name. From apple it wasn't sent from an apple email but a randomly made iCloud email address. The email address should always be the first thing looked at after the title of the email. I don't know how people still fall for these kinds of attacks, but be wary and aware when opening emails asking you about your private info.

This is very interesting and I am... anxious to see who is next on their list. I have seen TONS of people promoting those companies as well as many worse companies so i am very eager to see how far this goes and how long it goes on for. Be safe out their... hide your keys, hide your wife, cause they hackin' everybody out there!

Anonymous should be fighting against cersorship, government dictatorships, modern slavery an so on! Why are they against cryptocurrencies? I don't understand.

They aren't against cryptocurrency. They are against people scamming people in crypto currency.

Anonymous isn't against crypto currencies. They're against the pimps promoting faudulent schemes.

Anonymous isn't a group. Its anyone who has a hidden identity.

Apart from the anonymous, that means someone with hidden identity, there is a hacktivist group called Anonymous, you can check #opnewblood on twitter where they tried to recruit new members.

Anonymous does not exist. Anonymous is an idea, a philosophy, a movement that comes into and out of existence as and when its group mind feels like it. The group is no one and also everyone. Telling any single self-proclaimed Anonymous member this or that for whatever reasons ... is meaningless. This guy is as much a member of Anonymous as we choose to believe he is and nothing more. He can do whatever he wants to do -- and he will. He hears only what he wants to hear. His beliefs will never change, until they do. Talking about him is wasting time. I am wasting time. You have just wasted time with me. Thank you.

VOTED and RESTEEMED!!

Awesome! Thank you for helping spread the news... I'm interested to see where all of this goes.

Very interesting post! Thank you! A few weeks ago my wife told me about BitConnect and as I was looking deeper into it, I could smell the scam. Then I read a disscussion between Craig and another guy, and I was sure it's a scam. Thanks again for the information!

Absolutely.

Many people have supposing opinions on bitconnect, but I believe the most important thing in crypto is to listen to your instincts and not make decisions based on greed.
In most instances our best option is to sit back and HODL.

Anonymous is Justice. Great content. Upvote for sure.

Thanks for reading and the upvote! We will see as time goes on who the real scammer is... I'm wondering if the "anonymous" hacker is going to be exposed before he has finished his mission to shut down all of these channels.

Most scam site owners are lazy and cheap. Those two kinda send the message of how many holes are in their operation.

Yes. Poor graphical design and grammatical mistakes are two of the easiest to spot red flags. It's usually so bad that it is comical.

But then again, have you seen BTCGPU's website? 😂

Interesting read. Thanks for posting.

@originalworks

Absolutely, thanks for taking the time to stop by and give it a read.

Justice in the wild west it seems. Old school tactics applied to new world technology.

I agree it will be interesting to see what comes of all this. The entire space is really open at the moment although entities are trying to tighten it up. Ultimately, since it is the digital world, the hackers rule. They are far ahead of everyone else and are able to make up their own rules.

I definitely agree with you on that. Being that there aren't rules, rules can be made within he constructs of those who understand the framework the best.

That is what is interesting about the world of cybersecurity...they are always playing catch up.

The hackers start down the path they want to go and veer off it anything time the mood hits them.

I know. Constant cat and mouse game where the hackers seem to always be a few steps ahead.

It's hard for someone to oppose those who are so powerful and rich.

Very true... unless you are smarter than them and the people they surround themselves with.

Upvoted and Resteemed however, anyone calling Bitconnect a scam still when they were at an event with Intel and their trading bot was released and method of how they make their money is an idiot. Control-Finance is absolutely a scam and so is Laser.Online. The other businesses no idea but a legitimate mining company WTF?These guys are script kiddies emailing phishing links that shit is nothing don't click the links simple couldn't brute force an account if they tried.

Good points. Most of this could be avoided if people slowed down and thought. Then acted.

It's not 100% about the companies I don't think. I think it's more about the way certain people are marketing the companies, making it seem as if they are making money on a much larger scale with small investments. I can say I have a pretty large amount invested into genesis and I know if I could go back I wouldn't have done it.
