Can Be Quantum Computations for Everyone?

in #bitcoin6 years ago

The project I am going to review today is like quantum physics – it is complicated, controversial, and damn interesting!
Qilimanjaro is opening the world of quantum computations.
Presently, many branches of knowledge (physics, pharmacology, biology, genetics, finances, etc.) cannot develop properly because of the insufficient processing power of computers. A quantum computer has a potential to address this problem (and, actually, many other problems of humanity), but, unfortunately, quantum computing today exists only in a form of prototypes with a very limited functionality. To make things worse, a price of such a computer is appallingly high so that even large companies can hardly afford it, to say nothing about small businesses or individual users.

But Qilimanjaro will make quantum calculations available for everyone. Qilimanjaro’s team strives to create a robust ecosystem to provide decentralized quantum computation services, where every person or enterprise can utilize quantum algorithms to tackle problems with a help of quantum logic.

What Problems will Qilimanjaro Solve?

For real businesses, quantum computers appear to be more effective in contrast to classical computing machines because they potentially can be applied in the following areas:

  • Traffic and scheduling. Quantum algorithms can optimize any sort of scheduling or traffic flow problems by studying all possible solutions simultaneously and presenting the most optimal way out within a shorter time.
  • Chemistry. Today, investigating the structures of molecules presents a challenge due to a limited capability of computational resources. As a result, the invention of new drug formulas, chemicals, and fertilizers cannot be that effective.
  • Security. Today, any cryptographic algorithm (like RSA, DSA or EEC) can easily be hacked by a good quantum computer, putting policy and economy under a threat. But quantum cryptography will efficiently reflect any attacks of a quantum computer.
  • Finance. Quantum computers are very effective in performing financial data analyses, and, thus, finding new solutions to detect and isolate associated risk factors.
  • Neural networks teaching. Quantum processors can train neural networks to learn from their previous mistakes and perform self-correction faster and more effectively.

How will Qilimanjaro be Organized?

The ecosystem of Qilimanjaro will be presented by four key modules.

QCS is an abbreviation for Qilimanjaro Computing Service which is essentially a cloud-based platform. It will enable individual users and organizations to access (and, surely, enjoy) quantum computation of Qilimanjaro via a cloud at a very moderate price. Through an intuitive interface and a sophisticated set of tools, users will be able to create and test custom programs on this quantum computer platform.

Consulting services or QSS will advise users and help them to send their real-world problems to the quantum logic. The ultimate objective of this component of Qilimanjaro Ecosystem is to create an OS (operating system) on the base of their own quantum machine that would provide customers with full-fledged services.

Qibo is a universal language for quantum software. It will work on any existing quantum machine. This
metalanguage is designed for developers concerning themselves with quantum programming. Developers, who use Qibo to build applications, will be compensated with QBIT tokens. A beta version of Qibo is already available.

OpenQ is an open-source network for collaboration and development. This platform will feature pre-built templates of quantum algorithms, which users can leverage to create novel algorithms to be discussed, implemented, and, finally, listed in the Qilimanjaro inventory.

Qilimanjaro Token Economy

Private sale is live - minimum contribution is 100 ETH (the max is 700 ETH)

QBIT, an ERC-20-friendly token, will be the fuel of Qilimanjaro platform. Participants (by the way, the team believes that their product will be interesting for governments, research centers, educational institutions, small and large business, and individual users) will need QBIT tokens to:
Pay for the platform services
Get help with translating real-world problems to the quantum logic
Test quantum software on a quantum computer
Access special training courses and educational content provided by OpenQ, and many other use cases
Surely, Qilimanjaro will also give you a chance to earn some QBIT tokens for performing different activities on the platforms including adding new quantum algorithms to their catalog, reviewing submitted algorithms, and so on.
Their private pre-sale is live, and you can participate if you wish to, but bear in mind that the minimum contribution is 100 ETH (the max is 700 ETH). Overall, there will be three phases in their ICO, but exact dates are to be announced.

Conclusion

Many companies today are considering quantum computation as an effective technology to solve practical problems and speed up Big Data processing. With all their enormous potential and obvious benefits, quantum calculations exist only in a form of prototypes with limited functionality. On the top of that, quantum computing is such an expensive technology that even international corporations not always can afford it. But Qilimanjaro is going to solve this problem and bring the potential of quantum computation to the masses. The project is absolutely fantastic, I mean, hard-to-realize… But you may not share my opinion if you do your own research.

Future, quantums, AI, robotics. I like it. But I'm a little scared about it. :)

Is it already working?

I don't understand much in this technology but your article gives me more understanding. Thanks. Well and simple explained.

Big companies like google, ibm, NASA, have made important advances in the quantum computing, but as far as I understand it has only remained in prototypes, and given the costs I particularly see very difficult the massification of this technology.
We just have to wait! :)

The development of quantum computing might come as a solution to the insufficient processing power of modern computers, given an ever increasing demand. However, at present quantum computers exist only as a model and are costly. The good news is that some companies such as Qilimanjaro, are trying to find ways to offer decentralized quantum computation services for everyone to have access to the benefits of this new computing technology. More specifically, they can offer solutions for real businesses in the form of scheduling and traffic, security, chemistry etc. and at the same time the users can earn QBIT tokens. In support of the widespread adoption of i.e. QBITs, [Blockbasis] (https://blockbasis.com/) allows cryptocurrency users to store, send and receive crypto using just an email. Additionally, you can exchange cryptocurrency and trade directly without intermediaries on our DEX and see transactions happen in real time.
