Venezuelans need a decentralized exchange

in #bitcoin7 years ago

To begin, I want to say that this last year has been a very stressful one for me. I am personally very upset with those who have corrupted and taken to decay to Bitcoin; a cryptocurrency that once was Venezuela's best friend in these times of crisis. Similarly, I would like to express my gratitude or the effort that many have put into recovering this project in the form of Bitcoin Cash, a currency that claims the quality of electronic cash reflected in the original proposal and that fills me with hope.

As many of you know, the attention of many countries in the world has settled on Venezuela, a country that is hit by a rather peculiar conflict: a socialist tyranny with links to terrorist organizations and drug traffickers oppresses the population, which also is hit by an economic and cultural crisis, and deceived by a false opposition that collaborates with the regime, whose collaboration has pushed part of civil society to opt for methods of civil disobedience (nonviolent resistance, direct action, counter-economic action, etc.) with the hope of conquering their own liberation in the near future with their own efforts, and with the support of the international community.

In recent years, Venezuela has been immensely benefited by the existence and use of the criptomonedas, which have become very popular among the population. Here, the electronic cash has not only provided a way for thousands of Venezuelans easier access to international markets, receive remittances, etc, but has also provided a better paid job opportunities (some more complex than others), which They have allowed them to complement and even sustain their expenses, bringing them closer to a better quality of life.

However, not everything is rosy. As many will know the increase that the rates have had in the last year make it very difficult to use Bitcoin, and unfortunately many of us can not afford them, which has made us immune to the fraud (some keep their BTC, BCH and altcoins in platforms that do not offer escrow) and has left us helpless, since BCH users so far do not have at their disposal centralized or decentralized exchanges that facilitate the change of Bitcoin Cash to local currency (which forces us to pay high commissions in if you need to change BCH to BTC to use Localbitcoins).

For these and other reasons (such as the risk that many prefer not to assume to go to centralized exchanges - in case these integrate BCH- subjected to the arbitrariness of the tyrants, which can be expropriated or coerced), I have a time insisting that as well as Venezuela needs Bitcoin Cash (because it is the cryptocurrency with the best qualities, philosophy, road map, and the most suitable for this juncture), it also needs a decentralized exchange house (a "LocalBCH", or whatever you want to call it ), which in my opinion is the main need to cover to ensure that the adoption in that country increases at a much higher rate, thus benefiting the community.

The reason why I expose this to the community, is because I firmly believe that the more aware the same of this type of needs, the more likely is that the market for a quick solution, which without a doubt many conscious Venezuelans would appreciate, and that would benefit even those who have not accepted that Bitcoin Cash is our best option.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and spread the word.
