The "mean" trajectory on your chart would have future bitcoin at about parity with gold. Given global economic conditions, that's a scary future world as some predict $10,000 gold.
I think bitcoin will outshine gold in the near future; however, I fully endorse your advice about cashing up for buying winners at a discount during the inevitable bumpy ride into the unknown unknowns.
