Interesting read. I for one didn't realise there are regional differences in the price offered on bitcoin. Africa has leapfrogged stages in the development in other areas before, look no further than telecom: most people jumping straight from no phone to cell phones. With regards to the structural challenges, both legacy and locally-imposed, around money and finance in Africa, cryptos have a disruptive potential, to the benefit of regular people.
