RE: I tried to buy $1 of bitcoin from a Las Vegas ATM — and it just proves how far bitcoin is from replacing regular money

i personally feel this whole crypto currency thing is a scam and you cant do anything with it unless you have millions to throw at it. the average person does not. some get really lucky but most like you get screwed and coin cloud etc... get rich off us. it simply wont work in our current society. in america you cannot pay rent, buy groceries, get gas, pay bills, go to your local stores for necessities, or acquire any normal daily needs with bitcoin or any other crypto currency. even steem. my steem account is valued at $4700 or so currently and i cant buy anything with it. what good is that? im only on steemit playing with the notion simply because i wanted to see what the hype was all about and because it is fun posting blogs about my stuff and sharing information. if i were to make anything spendable then it would be a plus.

Nice comment i agree with that "Hat's off to you!" @fixedbydoc

Get a bitpay card and use your steem to convert to bitcoin... then you can spend it

and lose it all when i try to make a transaction... im dumb when it comes to this techno lingo computer stuff. im in the medical field so i have no idea what bitpay cards are or how to get one or even know what i would be doing with it. i barely know how to change the steem to bitcoin in blocktrades but dont know how or where to send it or how to turn it into USD which is the only thing i can spend here in USA.

i have never tried it...but i have read that people are buying things on amazon with steem.

now that is some good news. i might actually be able to do something now :)
