Privacy Cryptocurrencies… Checking Out Verge (XVG)
The past few days I’ve been writing about privacy cryptocurrencies. If you haven’t seen them yet check out my pieces on Monero, Zcash, PIVX, Zcoin, ExclusiveCoin and Hush.
Today it’s Verge (XVG). It’s currently trading around $0.007 with a $94 million market cap.
Like the rest, Verge is a secure and anonymous cryptocurrency. It’s build with a focus on privacy.
Verge has been around since 2014 and use to be DogecoinDark. Then in 2016 it got serious and rebranded to Verge.
It’s an open-source project and driven by the community. It does have people dedicated to developing the currency, the website and for marketing. You can see the contributors here.
Verge is unique as a privacy coin. It has a transparent ledger. Anyone can view its transactions. But it protects user identities and locations by integrating both Tor and I2P to not expose IP addresses.
In total there will be 16.555 billion Verge (XVG) coins. So far 13.4 billion are circulating and 1 billion per year are dispersed until the cap is reached.
The team appears pretty active. You can check out the roadmap here. And they just announced XVG will get listed on Binance. Good news!
To learn even more check out the Verge Black Paper.
Verge is unique in the privacy cryptocurrency space, it could certainly be a winner.
It’s worth noting crypto TA expert @haejin thinks XVG has a chance to go to $0.09 and then $1.00. Check out the video. That would be a HUGE winner.
I own a little. What do you think of Verge?

If you can see transactions how is it a privacy coin? Seems like that's how things could be traced, just like BTC. If you can see a transaction and where it's going/who it's from then it seems like it's not anonymous.
It's anonymous because you can't attach the tx to any one person. So you see the XVG moving around but you can't tell who it's from and to.
I see, so you can just tell that there's a transaction, but no other details like wallet sending and wallet receiving?
Exactly
dope right!! tanks for putting this review together; I resteemed it; you've done a great job with this series ---
Thanks!!!
pretty small coin
Smaller than XMR, ZEC, PIVX; bigger than XZC, EXCL, HUSH.
what makes it unique
that's in the article
From .007 cents to 1$ is over 1000x thats insane!!!
Nothing is guaranteed of course, but that's the potential based on the technical analysis. Make sure to take some off the table if it goes to $1!!!
Ohh ya ill definately do that. its crazy the kind of gains there are in crypto you'll never see that in the stockmarket. maybe a penny stock but that shit rarely happens. When Bitcoin cash first split it shot up like 120x in a few hours. Wish i woulda sold off at the top but i still made a decent profit. Hindsight is 2020
It's not trading at 0.007 cents, but $0.007. That's a profit potential of x 143. Just to be accurate.
wouldn't that be 1430x
0.007 x 143 = 1.001
ahh you are correct good sir. i gues s that weed was stronger than i thought
@g-dubs a really great post, well done. This is the first I've heard of Verge and it sounds really interesting! Would you be able to email me at cryptonights1@gmail.com - perhaps we can put together an episode together on it?
I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on my latest episode of Crypto Nights, which actually focusses on Monero.
Upvoted.

I'll check out the video

I own tons of Verge but mostly based on Technical Analysis. My first target is $1 as shown below:
I agree with this insight. I'm a stakeholder with my fingers crossed.
Good luck!
