End the blocksize debate with Gigabit Internet access
Im starting a database of bitcoin users internet speeds.
If you have access to 100-1000Mbps, please add yourself to my database by visiting http://suphearst.ca/speedtest/
I have not yet figured out just how much I should be paying people to run a node, im thinking 10-50$/month
The way it will work is that im going to monitor nodes and their ip and match it to people in my database, so make sure you are running the speedtest from the same host as you are running a node from.
What do you think? Is it worth it to try and convince the millions of people around the world who have access to Gigabit speeds to run a node and end the blocksize debate with a radical blocksize limit jump to 370MB
We should not be holding back the network just because someone wants to be able to run Bitcoin Core on a shitty network, the value of bitcoin is directly tied to the confidence and trust in the network, do the right thing and let bitcoin fly
