I spent a little time here and there explaining to my kids how bitcoins work, they listened and thought it made sense. They quickly asked me how they could spend their bitcoins & before I was able to answer them they quickly went online to find out. My youngest went a different direction with his curiosity and figured out that he could play games in order to earn bitcoins. He plays bitcoin flapper, bitcoin hopper and bitcoin crusher which earn him a small amount of satoshis for his efforts.
I recently read an article by Jamie Redman (@jamieCrypto) titled “Kids and Bitcoin: The future is here” and I realized that I was doing right by teaching my kids about bitcoins. My kids are 14, 13 & 11, they understand bitcoins & are curious to learn more, so what better way to help them expand their bitcoin knowledge than by giving them their weekly allowance with bitcoins.
I suspect my kids will soon discover a lot of fun ways to spend their bitcoins, they already discovered many online retailers that accept bitcoins & they are aware that they can trade-in their bitcoins for gift cards to many popular retail sites such as Amazon, Best Buy, etc. thru Gyft.com

Well, my kids are all setup with their Airbitz wallets, they received an installment of $1 worth of bitcoins & the remaining amount will be deposited when they finish their weekly chores :)
