Investors worried for long-term closure major bitcoin exchange

One of the world's largest bitcoin exchanges, Kraken, has been standing still for quite some time. The trading platform went black on Wednesday for a well-announced system update, but is still not back in the air. This leads to major concerns among some investors.
On its own website, Kraken said that during the installation it discovered a software error that proved difficult to solve. It is a '' bug '' that did not come to light during the weeks-long test phase with the new system. The company tries to reassure investors and states that their money is safe.

However, customer worries are not taken off the air. It would not be the first time that a large trading platform for bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies would be cracked by criminals.
