My first Investment in Bitcoin.

My first investment centered around Bitcoin was a scam website. It was called Aurora Mine. (Auroramine.com) The whole idea of the website was to make 10% a day of the initial investment. I didn't put much in thankfully, I was speculative about the whole thing. So I withdrew the money it made me every day and put it into Coinbase. It was about 5.5 days and the website shut down, it now says that the website is off the web. I had eleven dollars into Coinbase at around $5,600. Well, Bitcoin prices grew and I was sitting at around $13.50. I checked youtube to see if there was anything about this now-gone website. This man was talking about how the CFO on the website, which included a picture of, was fake and found the exact image on Shutterstock. That sealed the deal that this website was indeed fake, and the monthly 300% gain. I wasn't the only one I knew that invested in this program. My brother, his friend, and a poor college student, who found this whole thing out, all put money in. They all invested more than me, but still relatively small amounts, thankfully. The same college student is recommending Bitconnect, which the website itself is scary but with him recommending it is worse. So if I were you, I would stay away from that, no thank-you. So I did not earn the staggering 10% a day, I intended to. I did, however, gain some well - needed knowledge about scam websites and bitcoin. I also earned a little bit of Bitcoin sitting in Coinbase. The most important thing I will never forget, in all of this, is if you think it is too good to be true, it probably is. If it feels right, do some research before doing it, or in my case, investing in it.
