The real creator of Bitcoin has revealed his identity

The australian businessman Craig Wright has publicly said that he is the creator of Bitcoin, hoping the long speculation about who was behind this digital payment system will end.

Craig Wright has provided technical evidences that he is the creator of Bitcoin using coins belonging to the alleged Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
Distinguished members of the Bitcoin community and its development team have also confirmed Wright's statements.

At a meeting with the BBC, Craig Wright signed messages using cryptographic keys created in the early days of developing the digital payment system. These keys are related to the blocks of Bitcoins known to be created by Satoshi Nakamoto.

"These are blocks used to send 10 Bitcoins to Hal Finney in January 2009, being the first Bitcoin transaction," Wright said during his demonstration.

Hal Finney is one of the engineers who helped transforming the ideas of the Australian into the Bitcoin protocol.

"I was the main developer of this system, but people helped me," he said.

Jon Matonis, an economist and one of the founders of the Bitcoin Foundation said:

During the London sessions we had the opportunity to examine the relevant data on three distinct, cryptographic, social and technical lines. I'm convinced that Craig Wright meets all these categories.
