Is bitcoin only the beginning?

Recently bitcoin came to its limits. Transactions can take forever and became more expensive. And despite the fact we all love bitcoin, we have to admit, that you can’t use bitcoin as a currency at the moment. Banks are buying bitcoins with unlimited fiat money which let’s them influence the bitcoin-price.

Also steam decided to shut down the bitcoin-payment option.

All in all it does not look great for bitcoin as a currency. This could change in the future, but in my opinion there is no need for it to change.

For me bitcoin is the alpha version of cryptocurrencies. It’s like the CD in the music industry: First it was a revolution, praised by everyone, then MP3 came and now we have Spotify.

One day there will be some cryptocurrencies that will be way much better than bitcoin ever was. We will look back and say: „How were these idiots happy with bitcoin back then?
Someone will create a cryptocurrency that will be more privat, safer, faster and cheaper than bitcoin.
Our mission is to create that currency, find it in this big pile of cryptocurrencies and promote it by using it.
But in the end the free market (the people) will decide what’s the best cryptocurrency and bitcoin is probably not gonna be it.
