The counter of crypto-regulation

in #bitcoin7 years ago

It starts. The european union and UK are planning to regulate bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

My thoughts...

We always thought governments can do nothing about bitcoin. We were right and wrong. True is, they can not do anything about the system of bitcoin, but they can go to the hub where cryptocurrencies and „real“ money meets: exchange platforms. The only kind of centralized place in the cryptouniverse.

Anonymity will nearly be gone, when the governments start doing this. So what can we do?
A naive would say: „let‘s start a petition or organize a demonstration and stop it with democratic means.“ Idiot!!

Here‘s what we have to do in my opinion:

My first thought was to decentralice the exchange platforms.
That is really hard to do, because the service these platforms do, is to be the trustworthy third party that proves that the exchange-partners get their money.

So how can we get rid of these platforms?

We have to start using cryptocurrencies in everyday life!
Get paid in cryptocurrencies, buy with cryptocurrencies, and so on. Forget the money and start using real money ;)

That is my solution for this poblem, but it will take a long time till this will happen. But it will happen, will it? 🙈
