Nice post- I do believe there is an element of truth to what Obama says with regards to crime, however, cryptography is nothing new- it hasn't been developed over night, only applied to a new area of expertise. I still think it's too early for the government to be afraid, but I'd like to hear Obama's thought on cryptocurrency rather than a generic umbrella of 'encrypted data'.
