Current bitcoin supply is about 16.4 million.
I could be wrong but I understood that the current supply as of August 1st is what will convert to BTC-U and then BTC-U supply will not increase further.

BTC-U or BTU is Bitcoin Unlimted a fork along with Bitcoin Core BTC, and there is a new one participant BTCC Bitcoin Cash.
