Update: No I am not one of the lucky ones. My Coinbase account is still generating old non-segwit addresses.

Good news. This is definitely gonna help lower transaction fees. Moving BTC around was way too expensive.

I watch sum of your videos and always learning, keep up the good work, cheers!!

I believe Bitfinex is about or have done the same! Given they both account for over 10% of exchange volume, we would probably see transactions finally go over the 15% mark soon. Mine is already activated for both Bitcoin and Litecoin! 189AE9B4-0F99-43DD-853E-C2F9E8DC87FF.jpeg

Will this have a big impact on Bitcoin dominance? BTC is no doubt the leader and will atill be, but there are many big projects on the rise for 2018.

@marketingmonk this is really great news and really beneficial for coinbase users. The Segwit support for bitcoin is really improves the overall transaction capacity of the Bitcoin and also helps to reduce the transaction fees cost the customers pays for bitcoin transaction.
