Any idea where I can find crypto tax regulations for UK?
Tax-related adoption, especially in US, is amazingly good news. It doesn’t matter that it’s a state, or minor. In fact, I’d say that it’s necessary that it be a small minor move for it to be significant, as paradoxical as that might sound.
To my thinking, adoption is benchmarked by the government accepting bitcoin for federal tax payments. The feds move easier with precedent. The feds move easier with test scenarios already run in small Petri dishes.
This is another small step towards that goal
As always, the perspective is helpful. I don't wish to imply negativity here, but your analysis referred to the past times when there was a crypto "bubble." I still mentally cling to an old show you did which emphasized that this type of decline was "not a bubble." You then clearly gave reasons which I, of course, can't currently recall. You may have said "Correction" or some other term which referred to the sudden drop. I guess my only question is, in hindsight, are these changes most accurately identified as
"bubbles" with all of the connotations that the latter term includes?
I'm enjoying this current BTC low, since I sell software priced only in BTC, but services priced in FIAT. When BTC drops, software sales rise, allowing me to accumulate and drive awareness, gather customers, build my business, and the FIAT-based services stay the same. Then when BTC rises, those customers feel the benefit they've gained by being early adopters. Running a Black Friday / Cyber Monday deal at the same time as a BTC low just increases the effect.
With all the "news support" getting added right now, I think it just adds to the massive wave of future goodness in store.
might move to ohio... or just wait for everyone else to catch up
What's round on the ends and "hi" in the middle? O-HI-O Ohio!!! BitPay.com is also likely to get a bit of a boost from this "highly credible" new customer.
The Ohio State news is huge! Now it is going to be interesting to track how many of the companies in that state choose to pay in BTC over USD, and if companies start moving into that state due to its crypto-friendly policy!
Cheers

Ah Taxes.
Hey Chris, we need you to despair, so that we can go up again. You are still too optimistic (realistic). :-)
With all parties comes a hangover. 20k was a hell of a party and if you bought, your regrets are fading. Back to work now, but proceed with caution. :)
