Changes Ahead - Why I'm Changing The Direction of My Channel
This morning I woke up and decided that I wanted to change the direction of my YouTube channel and spend my time focusing more on money making opportunities as opposed to the negative aspects of this industry.

Kind of bummed about this. There are a million people hyping coins, very few people talking about the potential issues.
@financialcritic I may still talk about them but just in a different setting and a different tone as you are right there aren't many people talking about the potential issues with all of the stuff going on.
Hey Mr. Walt I'm watching all of your videos about Bitconnect on Youtube right now. I've seen people promoting it and it is obvious it is too good to be true. I guess part of me thought maybe I could "play chicken" with it and put some money in and take out profits for a while and then get out. Well of course with my luck the minute I put money in it would probably fold the next day and the whole scam would come out. So I'm not going to do it.
I noticed you addressed some of your comments to someone who had a "J-O-B" and that's the reason I keep getting my head turned by these shady programs. I have a high paying job but I hate it. I am looking for a way to do something else, sometimes I think anything else but keep going there.
I will continue to follow your videos and posts on here. Maybe I can learn how you made it to financial independence. I am putting all my sales commissions and salary that I don't spend into long term investments and ultimately I want to buy my next rental property.
@clemdane I appreciate you following me and watching my videos and yes I was where you currently in about 7 years ago and I was forced to make some hard decisions. I know that if you want financial independence like I did you will no doubt find it. It may be a long road as it is a road not travelled by many.
However, with BitConnect I decided not to talk about it anymore as it is a touchy subject for most. I hope that I'm wrong but I wish those that participate in it well. All the company has to do is have the developer or owner come out and clear some things up and it would perhaps put some of this to rest.
The strange thing is no one has heard , seen, or spoken to anyone at all and that is the scary part.
Thank you. Yes, and I agree the photos of all those people on their site could be actors or even stock photos. It's almost like an artificially intelligent bot that created itself and then built a cryptocurrency on top of itself and it self-replicates. Well, maybe not. But it was fun thinking about it.
I was never cut out for corporate America. Came here after I made the hard decision leave my Ph.D. program and not become an academic. No regrets about that, but I feel I need complete freedom to do everything plan for the rest of my life.
@clemdane I too never finished college and figured out after getting out of the military that it just was n't my thing. Congrats on following your heart as most people would just do what they think society wants to see.

I can understand how frustrating it is to get that reaction for trying to help people, but keep doing what you do brother because I am one of the people you kept from losing his money in these programs... I got into the crypto world less than 3 months ago and saw all the talk about doubling your bitcoin and honestly I was ready to give it a try but then I stumbled to your channel and the words you spoke resonated with me... Again I want to thank you and I am glad you are on steemit I'm sure alot of us here will appreciate your opinions.
@jcleef I appreciate you sharing this with me as it is stories like this that motivate me to keep making more videos. However, will have to pull back a little as it was starting to get a little out of hand and taking up a bunch of time.
There maybe many haters out there but even just helping one person is a success on your part. Think positive, do good things and only good things will happen! What goes around comes around.
@marcusxman oh there is definitely some haters out there forsure, lol! But many people reached out to me and said that it would be nice to hear about other things besides the scam programs and I agree.
Good change of direction Sean. This makes a lot of sense especially on steemit.
@mikehere Yeah sometimes we just have to switch things up and see what happens. I will cover these things but just in a different way.
@mrwalt Why not do both? I don't think it's necessary to pigeonhole yourself into one "type" of videos. Jmo But I'm sure you are not getting love from your other videos calling people out on what they are doing so I can understand that.
@inventor16 I just got tired seeing the same people even after watching my videos still going into these programs. I said that I needed to go in a totally different direction.
Thank you Mr Walt, I have been following you for about six weeks. I am very new to this whole crypto thing and steemit too. (Still trying to post a pic). for me you have been a voice of reason and common sense in a world of hype and bs. I thank you for your previous videos and for any future clarity you might provide to me and others . Keep up the good work and know people are watching and listening.

It must be repetitive and feel like wasting your time pointing out the latest variation of the latest ponzi, HYIP and scam. I put some money in steem power after watching your previous video and will try to gradually build it up.
@gary-wood yes it was repetitive and I too thought it was a waste of time as the same people that came to me for advice still ended up investing in the same programs. So going forward I will focus on things that can actually help people as opposed to the scam programs that people will join anyway.
You have probably saved a lot of people money - they may feel too embarrassed to thank you.

Yeah, regardless what we say... people are going to what they want to do... and with all these programs always going down, they get more mad at the people who told them so than the people who lied to them to get them in the programs haha

@stackin I cannot do the BitConnect thing as unfortunately you just never know when these type of programs will come to an end. Right now you see a lot of people making money which is cool. The crazy thing is not one single person knows who the developer is or who is running the site. Scary stuff. However, if a person can accept the risks there is definitely money to be made.
