Yes, no problem with sidechains really if the main chain is not made less accessible (either by fee, lessened security or else).
I love the idea of rsk.co do you?
Don't really know enough about it to have an educated opinion. Wouldn't mind you breaking it down for me :p always so much to learn about in this space.
