i don't know if this is a real problem in and of it self, or if it's just part of nature.
if we look at how we have evolved as a species, it looks like males have had an advantage when taking risks. so risktaking is more pronounced in males than females.

i think this is one (of many) reasons why there are fewer women in new technologies, and i believe that as more and more people start to become part of it we will see more women coming on to the scene (just like the internet).

that is of course unless we start activelly excluding women from the space somehow (but i really cant see that happening. the technology is completely neutral, so if someone tries to block others out then they can just choose another way in)
