Bitcoin privacy is expected to improve with a few key proposals that are currently being worked on by Core developers. So let’s looks at some of the current proposals: Whilst Taproot and Schnorr may sound like the name of a hipster-run organic craft beer brewery, they are actually two new Bitcoin privacy-enhancing proposals.

The proposal takes the form of a zero-knowledge proof, to maintain the anonymity of a transaction amount. It was the first attempt at a proposal to hide transaction amounts from any parties other than the sender and receiver.
