Question about Bitshares BTS costing 2645$

hey all i have a question that been on my mind all day,
i am new to crypto and i found that BTS had rised to 2645 dollars in 15 july 2015 and than droped to 0.001....why??
what did happen in 15 july 2015?
same case for Tether coin two peaks on Septembre 2015 rise up to 500 dolars than droped to 1 dollars and on april 2016 rised up to 999 dollars than droped to 1 dollar. do you have a explanation for that please ?
