Yeah you tend to just eliminate this by default. I think sometimes selfupvote is okay. But when someone selfupvotes "yeah great" or "well done" or similar to 1usd or whatever i will downvote... i am not on a "crusade" i just act free and try to discover value
i give every comment i like an upvote, sometimes i like what i am writing ;)
upvote /downvote - up to everyone them selfes.
someone was writing script about this downvoteing.... because of me he found a bug... i was downvoteing my own comment :-)
