🗞 UAE Government Launches Blockchain Strategy 2021

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the ‘UAE Blockchain Strategy 2021’ with the goal of becoming a world leader in adopting technology, the Dubai Media Office reported April 11.

During the launch of the ‘UAE Blockchain Strategy 2021’ His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said that the adoption of Blockchain technology would support the government’s preparation for future challenges and save AED 11 bln (nearly $3 bln) that the government spends on document circulation annually. Moreover, he estimated the technology adoption would save millions of work hours, reduce government documents by 389 mln, and save 1.6 bln kilometers spent driving.

🗞 Bank Of America Seeks Patent On Blockchain-Based Data Storage System

On April 12, the US Patent and Trademark Office published Bank of America’s application for a patent on a Blockchain-based storage system with automated data authentication.

“Embodiments of the invention utilize a private Blockchain to store various types of records to be conveyed to the service providers. In this way, the individual or entity may securely store on the Blockchain all records relevant to service providers, then provide the service providers with secured access to said records such that the providers may access only the specific records for which they are authorized, e.g. a healthcare provider may access only the healthcare records on the Blockchain.”

🗞 The Challenge of Conforming Crypto to the Language of Regulation – or Vice Versa

An often overlooked hurdle in the formulation of legislative apparatus for cryptocurrency is the challenge of adapting cryptocurrency to the classifications and language of financial regulations.

A recent article authored by Jonathan Chester, the chief executive officer of Bitwage, featured commentary discussing the hurdles posed by attempting to conform cryptocurrency to existing regulatory language and classifications from individuals experienced with cryptocurrency law.

Payment giant Mastercard announced Thursday that it was hiring 175 new technology developers, including blockchain specialists.

She added in a statement:

"We're driving projects that promote financial inclusion at home and abroad, and are working to provide consumers, businesses and governments with the most innovative, safe and secure ways to pay."

What a so nice Break Out on the STEEM. So as predicted we destroyed the resistance line at 2$, the one also at 2.35$ and only the resistance line at 2.85$ stopped us.

We are now consolidating and we should touch the MMA13 (green line) before continuing our UP trend. The next objective will be to break the resitance line at 2.85 to continue the nice trend that we started.
