Them: Bitcoin is used for drug deals, human trafficking, extortion, money laundering, bribery, tax evasion, etc. You shouldn't exchange US dollars to support something used for such awful purposes.

Me: Oh man, that sounds pretty bad, and I wouldn't want my money supporting harmful crimes even indirectly. What did they use for all of that illicit activity before bitcoin was invented?
