You're definitely not wrong. Right now Bitcoin isn't really useable as a mass payment system, it's been relegated to a settlement layer. Still useful, but definitely not as exciting. My next post takes an in depth look at the challenges of scaling Bitcoin. Hopefully a solution is sooner than you think!
