Use Case - and the question is: Does it matter?

What does this mean?
Crypto currency ( project you support with your money )  does it solve any problems,  if it does, does it solve those them the best?  And finally:  Why? or why not?

 The use case matters and it may be the most important aspect that we should look at considering investing into the project
