njRAT update features include Bitcoin grabber, ransomware & DDoS functionality

njRAT’s current version ‘Lime Edition’ includes a Bitcoin grabber, likely created as a result of the upsurge in the currency’s value.

In addition to this, the Trojan has also displayed a DDoS attack feature which allows the controller to make all infected PCs target a particular web server.

The tool now also includes a ransomware module, giving criminals the ability to encrypt a victim’s files with the .lime extension and request payment for the unlock.
