How to Mine Bitcoin Gold

GPU mining became even more interesting with the new Bitcoin Gold fork. Since the coin is new, little is known about how to properly mine it. This is a pity because (a) the purpose of the coin is to be the new GPU-minable Bitcoin and (b) those of us who will start mining it first will probably get the most of it.

I am one of those enthusiasts who are desperately building rigs and looking for the best ways to mine BTG. So far, I’ve tested dozens of hardware components in the attempt of finding the best ones for a BTG mining rig.

As someone who has been mining Ethereum since its origins, I have an idea on what could work for BTG. However, the more I get into BTG mining, the more nuances I discover.
