Do NOT buy "LISK" token on OpenLedger

in #bitshares8 years ago

Scam Alert!

Please do not buy the token "Lisk" at OpenLedger or Bitshares client exchange, this is an User Issued Token and you will not be able to withdraw your Lisk Token into your Lisk wallet.

You can buy OPEN.LISK, which is a token issued by Openledger and you WILL be able to transfer to your lisk wallet trough a bridge they provide.

Are you sure it's a scam?

if I buy 1 "LISK" now and send it to my lisk wallet, it wont work... so unless the guy starts exchanging them 1:1 to real lisk, then yeah its pretty much a scam

Ever find a way to transfer purchased lisk? Think I got taken too, first time on bitshares and should have done more research. For those interested this is the fund to avoid https://cryptofresh.com/a/LISK_BTS

Can the community vote/find a way to make these non-valid assets disappear or require a different search?

I think OpenLedger is gonna filter some assets on their front-end upgrade, however this is impossible to do on the bitshares client its the other side of being completly decentralized I suppose, anyone can create a fake token and scam away!

That's what I'm saying, it's common knowledge to do research but you guys maybe never worked with people.

People should use the Bitshares client. I much prefer it.

I'm listening to a guy on the exchange chat that bought lisk. He says

I thought open was the IOU, but lisk was already launched, so it made sense (in a sort of way, at that time) that lisk was the real deal

If the guy who issues UIA does have LISK (should be cheap to buy now) and he/she delivers the coin to those who buy his/her LISK , you cannot say it is a scam.
After all, OPEN.LISK is a UIA too, if ccedk gets hacked, user may also not be able to withdraw coins.

who is the guy who issued it? is he exchanging his UIA for real lisk? if he is then I apologise but right now people are buying this asset and getting nothing in return

Nice article. Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks like this. Blockchain is the fututure but how are we gonna kill all those scamy cryptos out there? This is quite an interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com I'm really happy with this site that gives complete coin analysis for every single crypto.
