OpenLedger Advice

in #bitshares8 years ago (edited)

I feel like OpenLedger had (and has) so much potential. They really should be jumping more on the steem bandwagon.

As soon as this thing goes viral it's going to be madness. It's an excellent crypto distribution. I have the wallet on my phone. Pretty swanky.

The Bitshares client isn't a browser tab like OpenLedger. I like it more because the featured markets have the most volume and the tabs are in the right order. The Bitshares developers' UI is beautiful these days.

The advice: Use the Bitshares client. Sell your open.Steem for bitUSD or bitGOLD or bitCNY or whatever asset you want to save in. Then sell that for open.BTC and then fiat to pay for your bills or burgers or whatnot.

Sort:

Hopefully there will be on-off ramps from bitUSD etc into cash directly ..

It seems bitUSD always, almost always, trades a bit higher than 1 fiat dollar. Because the peg is inherently slightly imprecise (but always close) it's really only useful as a savings capsule. But I'll give you a real dollar for a bitUSD any day of the week!

Yes it does. And it does that for a well-known reasons (i.e. settlement at parity) ... The premium depends on the liquidity and price movements and is supposed to go down if liquidity grows. It also means that if you want to buy BTS, you should go via bitAssets because BTS are cheaper that way :)

OL is absolutely the future of bitshares!

It's just an exchange operating on Bitshares. They take the native GUI and mess around with it to make themselves the center of the universe. Try the wallet application, it looks the same, feels the same, but works marginally better and you can still use the OpenLedger gateway and assets just the same.

To Sell your Steem for bitUSD OpenLeger is the best exchange, easy to use, very intuitive once people realize this, they will migrate in mass giving the liquidity at the market.
