Reason behind investment in bitshares...
I’m sure most of you on here know this but just wanted to share.
With all the theories going on with insider trading with Coinbase, exchanges pumping prices, and future government regulations, it’s just a matter of time before people start losing trust and faith in the centralized exchanges (especially if these theories are true).
With BitShares DEX, since the whole exchange is decentralized, these problems are eliminated.
There are a lot of other benefits to BitShares that you can research on the BitShares subreddit, but I see this being the future of the crypto market that could actually be adopted by large banks and used in the future.
If you’re looking for the next bitcoin, this is it. I have about 70% of my portfolio into BitShares.
Some more reasons:-
1-SmartCoins,
2-User-issued Assets (UIAs),
3-Low, stable fees,
4-Better technology,
5-Is decentralized exchange, and
Community-based.
BitShares are very good project, with good idea decentralized. Great #HODL in this year. ~ 5$ in 2018!

To what extent are you comfortable with regulatory oversight in this new market? I’m pretty open to the discussion considering the p&d stuff and projects with no action or development. At some point we should consider the average investor in a society and subsequently I imagine some action and guidelines will appear. Hard to say though where it goes from here
