Crypto-Bridge provides decentralized gateways to Bitshares

Crypto-Bridge is a new DEX built on the Bitshares blockchain, which means it's fast, reliable and completely decentralized. It also means that everything that is traded there should be available in the Bitshares wallet, similar to OpenLedger DEX. They state that every popular coin pair is available on their exchange.
The most important innovation that Crypto-Bridge brings to the platform is the decentralized gateways. They are using a federated network of many gateways connected to each other, all issuing the same multi-signature proxy-assets. A super majority of agreeing gateways is needed to publish a transaction on the blockchain. In this trust-reduced setup, you don't have to trust a single entity to hold your funds. Each gateway node is independently verifying the transactions of the other nodes to make sure gateways stay honest.

This setup ensures that the gateway network will continue functioning even if Crypto-Bridge goes out of business.
On their website, they specifically state that the gateway system is not completely trustless -
it's trust-reduced, but it is nevertheless a major step forward in increasing user security for the whole ecosystem.

Additionally, as they are a new exchange, they are attracting market makers right now with a special program that gives incentives to traders for placing orders and filling them.
