I hear this complaints from new steemians again and again
I want to grow my blog, but i just don't have the time
Most Steemians have Day jobs that keep them away during the day, most just drop in at night to post and engage with people
But what You really have to do is to sit and ask yourself what "I don't have enough time really means"
Most time Yoy have this feeling of scarcity when it comes to time, but the truth is that most times You never spend your time wisely
You always find your self conceeding the little time you have to various distractions like Youtube and Social Media
So you really need to ask yourself " Is my time scarce or Not"
I have found out that "I don't have time" is often a cloak for something else nagging at the back of Our minds
Uncertainty
You are not sure that if You make that post that it would get read or make the amount of SBD you desire
Quick Thought Experiment
Imagine if you were given an assurance that spending three hours on your Steemit blog everyday would bring you amazing returns
Or you were assure of Whale Upvotes for every post you make
Would you struggle to find those hours
I am definately sure that your calendar would amazingly become free and Scanty
But right now, everytime you sit in front of your computer, a zillion questions would be running through your mind
Is this the right headline
Is my post good enough
Are most of my followers online to see this post, or would it get lost in the Steemit Abyss
Certainty Is The Wrong Goal
Knowing the full result of an action before you take it is a very appealing notion
But there are very few things worth doing that comes with 100% guaranteed result
Even if you were given a full guide on building a blog, you will still experience uncertainity
Reputable steemians like @papa-pepper and dragonslayer109 give enough advice to grow your blog
Why do Steemians still experience uncertainty
Asking The Right Questions
Instead of asking the questions above, there are some important questions you need to be asking
Questions Like:
Who is my target audience?
What are their desires, goals ,fears and problems?
How will i be of value to them?
Finding the answers to this questions requires time and You feel that you don't have enough of time
The Number One Thing You Need
To get the answers to these questions, you need One thing
Motive
You need to find out why you are blogging in the first place
Now I know that the number one motive on steemit is to make money
But you have to keep that by side and find out how you can be of value to others, because when you find that out, that is when you get the money
Finding out the role you are playing in the development of this platform will be of great value to you
I for example welcome new users and give them a chance to earn something and interact with others through the Fifty word Story Contest for new Steemians
I also run weekly interviews that enable them learn from the Older Steemians
You have to gain absolute Clarity of what you can do to help on this platform
Doing so can bring you all what you desire and more
Maybe it means you can finally quit that job that takes a huge chunk of your time
Or it means visitng new countries while doing what you love like @sweetsssj
That's why. Your Motive. That thing that will enable you create time when you feel it is not available
So ignore those marks on your calendar and figure out your motive for blogging
Don't Worry _ Facebook and Twitter will still be there when you get back

I find that the best way for me to frame things is not to think of it as not having enough time, but rather, how am I prioritizing my activities. I have time to do anything, I just don't always prioritize the activities such as blogging even though I truly want to.
hello @ ogochukwu
..."Who is my target audience?..." young steemians make this mistakes a lot. you can't have everyone to follow you, go after those that love what you are doing and find a way to improve more on it.
Hello @arizonawise
Thanks for reading and your insights
@ogochukwu
Thank you for @ogochuwu, this post spoke to me. I have made a check list and I will give answers accordingly. Thanks a lot
Hi @epikcoin
Am glad that the post stired you up...
Thanks for reading.
A couple of years back I used to blog regularly. The frequencies started going down as I started getting busy with my office work. Thanks to steemit I have started writing again and am getting to interact with many interesting people.
Regarding the lack of time I generally keep track of my day to day learnings and experiences in mind. Going forward I am planning to commit to write at-least one post on Steemit per day. Let us see how that goes. Thanks for your inputs.
I work 40 hours a week. I make time to be here, but I spend too much time here lol. I have tried making blogs before, but they weren't as successful.
We have time for everything we want...
It's just about priorities that we set, the time for other things gradually decreases... Happy steeming :)
Great post! Go to work controlling those things that you can control like your time commitment and effort. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for reading @eightyyroldself
Thank you for sharing this, cannot thank everyone enough for aiding and helping each other, with insight, and adding encouragement.
My goals is different is to write just for the sake of it and I consider the site as my notepad. My goal is to improve my writing and maybe be able to make a story. This is interesting and worthy of a resteem to remind myself that others would want to read this. Thank you .
I really appreciate this post because it confirms that I'm on the right track in Stemit. I'm new to the community and I'm constantly thinking about what the community may need from me so I can post about it.
I hope to get it soon, but I do not give up :D
A good article - a wake-up call to us all newbies who are confused. ^^
