Colombian Central Bank begins testing distributed ledger technology

Colombia's "Banco de la Republica", the country's central bank has agreed to start testing R3's distributed ledger software Corda. 

 "It is in our interest to evaluate the benefits of this technology for the safe and efficient management of the exchange of securities in the Colombian financial system." said the bank.
