We don't really need them any more.
Taxes are SO last millenium...today we have the blockchain. Every taxing entity could have an ICO. Every school district, water district (any district) Police department, Sanitation department (any department) village, town, city (any municipality), state and nation could issue it's own crypto-coin. Each of them would then have their own source of income, NOT dependent on taxation. The amount of that income would be dependent upon the market value of their coin.
longer version may follow after ya'll get a chance to think about this and comment on it. If I do make another post on this subject I'll include some of the most interesting (to me) of your comments.
Here is a topic we can both post about. Congress is trying to pass a bill which would dramatically reduce capital gains taxes!

Tax is theft and non-volontary. So I´m with you on this one. Do you know of any experimental examples of your suggestions such as police, towns, schools etc?

Tax is necessary but unfortunately, there are no assurances of where your tax money goes so crypto currency is the way to go

I think it is a good idea if it can be implemented, the services you cite are absolute essentials, every community needs them they are not expendable, now if they become self financing taxes would be superfluous.
note:
there are ALREADY volunteer fire departments
there are ALREADY 'fee paid' security forces that have replaced police departments.
there are ALREADY....other public services (such as toll roads) which are not supported by taxation.
with the blockchain it can be expanded infinitely further.
