Blockchain Use Cases For Indian Smart Cities
Blockchain technology is the newest buzzword in the tech industry in India. Every tech conference today has some element of blockchain infused in it. I’ve read this word every day of the past 3 years of my life. Needless to say this technology is here to stay.
Suffice to say it’s clear now that Indian entrepreneurs and businesses has embraced blockchain technology. MNCs too are leading the rush towards incorporating this tech into their businesses and work with governments and other private companies to deploy solutions based on blockchain technology.
Several governments in India have introduced this tech at some level to improve processes. But as a blockchain tech evangelist I feel we need to use to bring electoral reforms amongst many other things.
Corruption is one of the biggest issues in the country which if it is reduced significantly can lead to greater development and innovation in the country.
There are many use cases for blockchain technology. Some of these 12 use cases as linked in this article are implementable in India. We have a huge number of software engineers in the country who can help in these deployments. However, the politicians and bureaucrats in power need to prioritize between policies that improve our lives vs filling their pockets.
It’s going to take some time, but one day I hope we can get there.
Blockchain technology is one aspect of the changes we need to take things to the next level. The other is the regulation and legislation of cryptocurrencies. I hope as citizens we can continue voicing our opinion and needs to the government and push for these changes to happen quickly.

With decentralized storage and the possibility of tokens for assets such as housing it's going to create a next step in information if you will. Think of all the public information that is locked up in some goverment's buildings basement that will be readily available for people to look into on the blockchain.
I'm not talking about private information, but more referring to public information that is poorly maintained and organized, but supposed to be available to the public.
It would be nice if the crypto community can find a way to self regulate without governement intervention. Governments dragging their feet could just be the opportunuty needed for someone in the community to step up and take this on.
Its very possible as a lot of industries follow API and ASME regulations. Those just are enforced my government entities with fines and punishments.

I am from Argentina and the politicians in my country are corrupts and also stupids. They are not prepared for the governments and also they get all the money from the wealth of my country.
In that way I am completely agree with your proposal to establish the blockchain technologies into the organization of one country.
The problem is that the corrupt politician don’t want that transparency and efficintcy in the sistem otherwise they will lose their benefits...
What can we do with that ?
