Blockchain is the Future
When I look at the adoption rate of blockchain technology around the world, it continuously strengthens my belief that crytocurrencies are here to stay. It does not matter how bloody it seems on the crytpo markets , it will eventually bounce back.
It has been reported that some utility companies in Europe are planning to adopt blockchain technology as a way to transact with one another. This initiative is not new. It has already been tested by these energy companies on a wholesale level. They are hoping to roll it out to larger market.
Obviously, there are concern around security breaches and as usual people are calling for regulations, but just like any new concept, it will take some refining. Eventually someone will get it right and then everyone else will copy their model. We just have to hang in there and hold on to your Steem.

I would say every part of the economy. From banking to education and even in recording and verifying marriage licenses. It is a powerful thing that has the potential to be as disruptive as the internet itself.
