Open Source Tari University Is Born To Spread Knowledge About Blockchain
A new platform to share knowledge and experience on blockchain technology was launched by Tari Labs, with the aim of becoming a learning experience, aimed at people of any level of knowledge.
The project, which was called Tari Labs University , brings together a set of open source materials developed by the Tari Community, to promote the transfer and educational exchange of disciplines necessary to understand blockchain technology . This collection of contents was conceived as highly collaborative and free to use, as explained in the official blog of Tari.
The materials will be published in a presentation, video or report format, and classified into four levels, according to the depth and degree of expertise required for maximum use. In this sense, the first level corresponds to the "beginners" and the fourth corresponds to the "experts". However, Tari Labs expects the community to collaborate to improve the ecosystem , and encourages participants to comment, correct faults and / or propose topics of interest, to turn Tari University into a collective experience.
Currently the platform has 6 published content, among which the theme of non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) is developed, presentation created for level 1 (beginners). The other 5 contents are aimed at users of level 2 (easy) and addresses topics such as Crypto 101, Lightning Network for Dummies, MimbleWimble Protocol , Fusion Mining and Second Layer Scalability. Two other presentations are scheduled for July 9 and 16, with the technical themes of Merkle Trees, SPV and Bloom Filters; and Atomic Exchanges, respectively.
Among the motivations to create a project of this nature, Tari Labs indicated that the concepts surrounding blockchain technology are generally complex, since "the architecture of a well-designed system requires significant experience in cryptography, computer science, economics, game theory , psychology, business, law, marketing, politics and more. " Hence the need to build a platform to "learn and understand new technologies, develop ideas and stimulate debate about the disciplines that make up the evolving blockchain technology".

The popularity and multiple possible applications of blockchain technology have opened a space in the academic field . Recently initiatives were known as the one of the Stanford University in the United States, which will open a blockchain research center ; as well as Ripple, which launched a project called " University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) ", with the aim of promoting research on blockchain technology and cryptography in 17 universities around the world.
Tari was launched in May 2018 as a decentralized asset protocol written on the blockchain of Monero. It focuses specifically on tokens, loyalty points, game elements and cryptoactives. Now, he ventures into the area of collaborative education, with his new platform, Tari University.
