Strategy, Part VI
Marketing, the Niche, Strategy
It’s high time to turn the course of our storytelling. Now we’re going to speak about the future plans, not about what we have already done. Everybody knows how important marketing and strategy are. We argued, discussed and confused a lot but somehow agreed on some issues. Today I’m going to embed you Readers into our Rexpax strategy and plans.
Step 1. Yay! We Hit the Bull’s Eye!
The target audience of the project are student communities and new settlers living in dorms and new housing complexes. They all face the problem of purchasing new items for everyday life and household, they don’t have enough money for at the start. Our purpose is to show them that there are a lot people nearby that are ready to share and help each other.
Step 2: Nowhere is Everywhere
We’re quite ambitious guys but able to tame our appetites. Many startups make a mistake planning to launch mass market too early. The reason of failing is that most people stand up to changes and don’t accept the products recommended by early adopters.
We want to conquer a top market share, our strategy is on the map and, our initial message aims at early adopters and innovators — students. They are interested in everything new and they have no habits that we’ll have to break.
Step 3: Idea Translation
One month before the studies start we’ll prepare everything for students’ coming. We are ready to personally transmit our product idea towards them. We’ll be the first to meet them on their new life station. Nobody except us knows the product better so the marketing team will be there. We have to be mobile and reactive at the very start, and the opportunity to communicate with students drives us a lot.
Step 4. Start Small
We’re going to launch Rexpax in the first campus of one university. The initial start-up is of a top-priority, so we are planning to commit a major gamified promotional action inside a closed student community. The guys should feel interest, as well as competition vibes throughout the game. It’s necessary to explain, that the opportunity to be the trendsetter is given. They have to feel unique and chosen ones. There’s no need to reinvent the wheel so we are going to use and adapt the experience of such successful startups as NextDoor, YikYak that are already working with our target communities.
Step 5. Rexpax Party
We won’t stop at launching one campus, we’ll throw a party in the whole university and enlarge Rexpax footprint in the whole student quarter.
Step 6. Smart Increase
We are going to move gradually from one campus to another during the first year after start up.
Step 7: Cryptocurrency as a Growth Driver
For covering all USA dorms we prepared something that will definitely “blow up” Rexpax worldwide. Students need part-time jobs and extra earnings like nobody else, so we’ll release a cryptographic token Rex that can be earned by anyone who shares his items with others. It’s like mining. 30% of Rex currency is reserved as a reward for useful acting within the platform. Add an item to Home Online, share it, invite a friend to become a user an we’ll pay you for doing that!
Step 8: Free-for-All
We’re not going to shoot and release a film as Facebook did, but we’ll publish a book about the breathtaking process our startup creation in order to let everybody know about our project and the vision of it. Well’ there already are at least some notes!=)
Our startup will change the world!
