Hi guys! Here is the news from “Drone employee” team (i'm not a member, but still):
The team made the first field tests of the "autonomous waypoints navigation system" that is built on Ethereum blockchain. The tests were as follows:
First of all, autonomous traffic controller received the topography data through the blockchain. The Google Maps and GPS navigation were used to collect that data. The borders of the flying area were defined and forbidden zones were set.
The second step involved deploying Ethereum smart contract for each drone. Smart contracts provided GPS coordinates, start-time, bearing angles, altitudes (etc) as a data. As a result - dispatch reserved the route in the decentralized air traffic control system map. The dispatch is fully autonomous and can interact with drones automatically. If possible collision is detected, it will find a safe flight route.
