Honestly, I'd say you've managed to grow tremendously as a person, just from reading your posts it's evident.

I wouldn't suggest that not knowing what you want to do is a failure; I agree with @revisesociology in that not knowing, it's more of a positive. There's so many things for you to try still, so many things for you to discover and build yourself with.

I'm in the same boat with that feeling of just not knowing, and it can be overwhelming at times when you remember that the world is mostly against that type of thought. That you're supposed to have something that you're going to stick with until you die. It doesn't have to be that way, though. You've realised that, and you've just got to find that one thing that balances everything else.

I guess there is an advantage of not knowing - it makes one explore. That's the ideal case, at least. I get anxious anyway if I know too much where I'll have to be in any given moment.
