You have to do what you don’t want to do

The highest level of spiritual and developmental work someone can do in their life is to do what they cannot fathom doing. I’m not talking about having follow orders that you don’t want to follow, it’s thing that you, yourself, know you need to do

Most people are much too willing to do something they don’t want to do for someone else, and then call themselves selfless when in-fact, what they are doing is compensating for what they know they need to be doing for their self. That leaves a person susceptible to psychopaths to take advantage of the “selfless” person.

Also, most people know what they need to do but justify not doing the work. They are scared to start a new endeavor, even with something so simple as reading a book or getting some exercise.

In order to advance through life you must do things that scare you. Once you do one small thing at a time, your threshold of what scares you will rise and to also speak collectively, doing what you don’t want to do will raise humanity to new levels. That’s real progressiveness.

Agreed! Facing your fears can be a tough task and sometimes it might seem impossible at first, but it's always worth it because once you overcome them, you're free.

The fears we don't face become our limits. -Robin Sharma

It's incredibly tough work and it's not encouraged in society!
