My Thoughts on Surviving R Kelly

From watching Space Jam I feel in love with R Kelly's music, it seemed to have meaning and depth and each and every song I listened to brought goose bumps to my arms.

Sang with passion R Kelly came in to our lives through TV and Radio and while at parties me and my friend would dance to his songs.

I know feel sick to my stomach after watching the TV series - Surviving R Kelly

This morning we watched on the news that he had turned himself in for crimes that he has been committing since the 90's and after hearing this me and my wife decided to watch the documentary on one of the most influential music icons.

It was almost like watching a program about another person as 50 people were interviewed for the documentary and they were all telling the same story.

Sex with children, sex acts with children, brain washing, and physical abuse are the crimes that the documentary tell us about.

episode one starts of slow but still gripping enough for you to want to watch more and this is what we did.

To me it was amazing how he has been getting away with it for so long with people filing lawsuits and R Kelly paying them off to keep quiet.

To me the documentary says it all about what fame and money can do for people, if you have the money you can pretty much buy your way out of anything and that seems to have been happening for a long time with R Kelly.

One of the people interviewed stated that they had a choice to make about R Kelly and his actions towards children. the replay from a producer at the time said " he didn't care, and do you know how much money R kelly brings them in".

I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this, a child is a child and no amount of money would by my silence.

While talking to my wife while we watching this program she even stated something what I was thinking, Where were the parents while R Kelly was doing the awful acts.

R Kelly even videoed himself doing these acts on these children which was brought to caught in 2008, and even after the caught saw the video he was able to get away with the charges brought against him.

It sounds to me like the people involved in the video were paid to keep quiet and this is how he has been able to get away with his life style.

Every person in the series have said the same about him, they have told how they had to call him daddy, and when they were in trouble they were starved and locked in a room.

So after watching these 6 episodes of crime committed by R Kelly I am glad to see that he has been arrested and is waiting trial.

I have also read that his bail has been set at $1,000,000 which to him will be like pocket money and he will soon be out to be able to carry on with his life until his trial date.

I am not one for the death penalty, but this is clearly one case that as a dad I would want to see to get this monster away from the children in this world.

With everything that I have listened to and everything that has been said I hope they lock him away for a very long time.

I just hope that the people affected by the acts of R Kelly are able to get on with their lives.
