So, You Know

And because of the immigration, because of the border provisions in the bill, I don't see the Progressive Caucus, Pramila Jayapal and her band of like a hundred sizes will not go for this. So therefore, it's DOA. Yep.

Yeah, it's definitely it definitely needs to be killed immediately. I mean, I agree with you. To me, every time I see anything like this, I'm like, nope, hell no, hell no, hell no, hell no.

Kill it immediately. Kill it with fire. Burn it to the ground.

Let me ask you a question, Walter, as somebody who's involved in politics, and I guess we'll go to some microphones and ask what people think. Is there any appetite at all, though, if we were to use DACA, like I was trying to use as a bargaining chip, is there any version of that you can turn around, twist your nose and be like, fuck it, yeah, let's do it because this gets us long term?

Or are you one of those like, absolutely not, no matter what, not happening? Well, the problem with DACA is, like you said, they've already been here for an extended period of time. And if they're already part of DACA, then they've already been paying taxes and all that.

So, you know, I think there's that's a bargaining chip that I think you'd be wise to be able to use. And I think your provision, which you said a minute ago, is actually probably the only way that it would be acceptable, which is, you know, they have to go through the 10 year process. They get a green card and they get then they then they get the opportunity to do citizenship.

But if you screw any of that up, then I think you get deported anyway. I mean, I think that there needs to be punishments when you don't follow the process, when you don't actually do it, when you subvert the process or you're lazy about the process or when you just you don't care and you're like, well, whatever, I'm here. It doesn't matter.
