Blogging Again - and Other Pointlessness
I'm kind of excited to be blogging. I think a new year is always a good time to review and revive goals, and one thing with steem is that I really did want to blog again.
I have to apologize, cause I'll be likely adding details and links after my initial post. Using @esteem and my grumpyoldguy eyes and sausagefingers make it very hard to make this post exciting. But want to get something out there rather than wait til it's perfect. Wait. Is it it's? Or its?
One thing I wanted to do way back when, was do a five bullet point Friday. I'll add details ate the end of this post later about it. But for now think of it as five things that have my attention right now.
Onward to the things
- This whole Australia burning and Iran drone strike is really putting a dampener on being positive about the new year
- I'm stupidly into this the Circle show about social media
- which reminds me! Podcasts! So much to catch you up on since I dropped off in May
- maybe I'll talk about why I dropped off ut it's so .uch blahblah blahsteem downvoteblah
- won SPUD so have borrowed SP to upvote people. What contests are you into in January that I can celebrate??

Goodmorning friend indeed with all the things happening g in the world it’s kinda hard to stay positive!
Did you know that in steemit you are allowed 8 tags now you have two and fivebulletpoontfriday isn’t a tag I think
yah.. it's hard to keep up with all the hives and tribes and tags..
problem is really with the esteem app.. their tags in mobile aren't as workable and their font choices unreadable when you are filling out a tag (so typos are missed)
You can edit here in steemit and add the 6 other tags

Hello, first I must congratulate you for being back and start blogging, that is good for you and for the platform, I also regret the news that is going through the network but more regret that this is actually happening in our world.

Hello @darrenfj Congrats on 2nd place again as well continuing to make the SPUD winner's list. As for it's and its, I thought I knew until you asked, and then I started second guessing myself, but I believe it's is a special situation, and in its case, the apostrophe is used in contraction and its without the apostrophe is the possessive.... i think. lol.
Anyhow, wanted to mention that you can up vote on your own posts. I least I believe it is ok, as long as you aren't making 12 b.s. posts a day, upvoting them and then no one else. I think one of two posts a day, while also curating on other posts, then 2 self up votes is harmless. I do it on my own posts with my reasoning being that I don't post but once or maybe twice a day if that, I curate a lot of others posts, and I feel that by upvoting my own post I also reward those that have up voted that post... so it is a win win.
And on another note, I wanted to ask you about #spud since you have been on at least 3 winner's lists, Why you continue to make an effort to participate in SPUD, and what has winning a delegation actually done for you or been like?
Or any other thing you would like to say or comment in regards to Steem, your goals on here and anything pertinent. I would like to use your replies and comments in an upcoming SPUD post if that is ok. Let me know please thank you.
