How Daily Goals Improved Productivity

in #blog6 years ago

I’ve been setting daily goals for about a month now and it had led me to a drastic improvement in productivity levels. It’s as simple as typing down what I want done the next day and planning a rough schedule for them.

There’s no need for any amendments - to make them less ambitious and more reasonable per say, just jot down what you want done and commit to it.

The rationale here isn’t for us to complete 4 books, swim 100 laps and network with 12000 people in a day but rather, it’s the act of working towards it. If you had not noted the activities you wanted to do the following day, it’s less likely you’ll actually get up and do them. Possibly lazing and slothing much of your time away.

Daily goals give you direction and purpose that drives you to do more. In essence, it helps you accomplish more than you would have if not for goal setting. Letting you end the day doing more than you otherwise would have.

Accomplishing 70%, 50% or even 10% more than you would have in a particular day is definitely better than 0%!
