Stonehenge: Passing on the knowledge

in #blog6 years ago

Stonehenge: is big, monumental and profoundly beautiful. Anyone who visits the site of this place has to wonder: ¿Why did the ancient Britons get into so much trouble by moving these giant stones and placing them in a circle? ¿What was Stonehenge created for? Archaeologists and anthropologists have suggested this place was created for healing rituals or perhaps was place to commemorate the dead. However, other experts believe Stonehenge was built as part of a memory system that allowed ancient Britons to retain their knowledge about the natural world around them. It seems that other ancient monuments around the world share the same incredibly rich knowledge system. This is why aboriginals in Australia and indigenous communities in South America were able to show a surprisingly encyclopedic knowledge about animals, plants, navigation, agriculture and even solar systems.

In all ancestral cultures there has always been a knowledge system which has passed on generation to generation about all what has surrounded human beings through millions of years. Our ancestors acquired this knowledge in many different ways. Scientifically, it’s argued that what they learned was the result of an immense creativity and curiosity for the physical world. For instance, it’s amazing to see how aboriginals in Australia discovered many different animal species, or created a way to study stars, and nonetheless, established a system by which this knowledge could be passed on to their children. This is a concept known as Orality. Orality is the system whereby ancestral cultures were able to use a way of communication to pass on their knowledge without using a specific language to do so. This system was represented through music, dancing, mythology, rhythms and repetition of information in order to code knowledge.

In some regions in South America, discoveries have revealed that indigenous people codified songs along the paths between towns by representing the lyrics on trees and natural objects. When they walked from one place to another, they sang these songs full of knowledge as they pass by the objects. Also, another way to repeat their wisdom was through rituals. For contemporary societies, these rituals seem to have a superstitious meaning, but for our ancestors they were a way to codify a repetitive system of knowledge. The system was strictly concealed and kept authentic in order to avoid the corruption of information as it passed on for many generations.

Knowledge’s survival

As a result of the knowledge’s survival throughout history, its information has been kept intact for centuries on a tremendous level of secrecy and mystery. Therefore, in order to access this Pandora box full of knowledge and wisdom, indigenous people carried out a gradual process through which the quality of information eventually got higher up to the point where they were able to experience the mental complete recognition of everything that existed around them.

To these prehistoric cultures the idea of wealth and mindfulness was represented by the quantity of power they could get from the knowledge kept among their people. Furthermore, this wisdom meant the main source of survival because as it dissipated along the years , other forces such as money and violence took over causing what eventually we live nowadays. The various prehistoric structures around the world were built in a way that nature would interact alongside with the indigenous, allowing them to decipher their secrets.

The Stonehenge’s mystery

According to Lynne Kelly, an Australian science writer, Stonehenge was initially built within a circle of approximately 100 meters diameter using 56 stones. Eventually, they were moved towards the centre of this circle along with other “blue stones”. This pattern clearly represented a way to establish codes that kept their secrets hidden and considering the ancient Britons did not know how to read and did not have a language, we may conclude that their power resided in their memories. However, there are more questions than answers raised here: ¿Where did these memories came from? ¿Why were these mysterious constructions created? ¿What secrets do they hide? During more than 500 years the stones were moved around. Over this period of time, its builders had the time and space to create secret systems of communication on which they based what they saw and experienced. What is truly puzzling is that until now, nobody has understood what they could possibly see and in what way they tried to reflect it on these stones. The details on each stone and their evident differences reveal the mysteries of this ancient society. It is said that the rituals were performed around the stones located in the center of the circle and in some holes in the ground.

Another edification located 3 kilometers away from Stonehenge called Avebury plays a very important role in the revelation of its mysteries. Along with the nature surrounding these places, the astronomical relationship there is between the stones and this location could lead to the revelation of this knowledge hidden for centuries. In Avebury, archaeologists found a hollow of colossal dimensions reaching almost 10 kilometers in length and 10 meters deep which could’ve required millions of work hours to build without using steel tools - which is a mystery in itself - where it is said to be a ceremony chamber. Surprisingly, the acoustic of this place enabled a magic ambient for ceremonies and gatherings which formulates even more questions: ¿Is it possible that the ancient Britons used different frequencies of sound in this massive hollowed area in order to establish communication with extraterrestrial cultures? and in regards of the knowledge, ¿could the sun, the planets and stars have anything to do with this knowledge hidden for centuries and this is the reason why it is encrypted?

Ancestral heritage

Places like Machu Pichu in Peru, Pueblo Bonito in New Mexico, the Pyramids of Yucatan in Mexico and the Pyramids in Egipt, the Statues of Pacific Islands and many other wonderful and mysterious places around the world, preserve and guard an astonishing amount of knowledge. They were places considered as universities where many people seeked for to obtain knowledge not only about nature and what is tangible but about spirituality and mystery. It is very likely that their inhabitants got this wisdom from other cultures outside our planet and therefore encrypted and assembled it with nature. Perhaps, the key to decipher all these mysteries is by connecting ourselves with the nature around these places and following the steps our ancestors left for us to discover.

Is it overwhelming to think about the variety of ways our ancestors tried really hard to keep the acquired knowledge which it’s likely to come from extraterrestrial cultures. If we truly want to follow the steps they left for us and are able to connect our subconscious to the signals in all these places, we might be fortunate enough to know more about the Universe.
